Hi`iaka: Journey of a Goddess

Palaihiwa O Kaipuwai at the Victoria Hall Theater in Santa Barbara,
California. Check back soon for details of a new class that will explore
the epic saga of Pelehonuamea, goddess of fire and volcanoes and her
sister, Hi`iakaikapoliopele. History, chant, ceremonies, protocol and
legendary places on Kaua`i directly linked with this mo`olelo are some of
the many highlights that will be covered in this exciting course.

Hälau Palaihiwa O Kaipuwai
Registration & enrollment is now being accepted for keiki 3-5, keiki 6-9,
`öpio 10 - 12, `öpio/mäkua 13 & older, and adults to küpuna ages 45
and older. New classes for KÄNE HULA for boys and men too!
Under the direction of Kumu Hula, Këhaulani Kekua, classes now
offered in two new locations on the NORTH SHORE in KÏLAUEA at the
MÄLAMA KAUA`I CENTER and at KALAPAKÏ at the KAUA`I
MARRIOTT RESORT.
Plans for the 2008 - 2009 semesters will include performances, cultural
excursions and preparations for special exhibitions and competition.
